Join us in concert
GWB are once again performing as part of the West End Festival with our concert “Sounds of Scotland”, Monday 17 June 2019 at 7.30pm at Hyndland Parish Church on Hyndland Road, Glasgow.
We’ll be playing a selection of traditional Scottish tunes alongside music that includes Malcolm Arnold’s Four Scottish Dances and Gaelforce by Peter Graham. We can neither confirm nor deny whether shortbread will be served from a tartan tin during the refreshment break (I hope so!).
We’ll post a link for ticket sales ASAP, please check back soon.
We’re also pleased to be performing at St John’s Cathedral in Oban where we’ll be performing the Scottish Premier of The Glenmasan Manuscript by Marc Jeanbourquin conducted by the composer. Again, we’ll post more details on how to attend this unique event ASAP!
Watch the band
Watch us play Short Ride in a Fast Machine (John Adams), Metropolis 1927 (Peter Graham), or Equus (Eric Whitacre) at the Scottish Concert Band Festival where we received Platinum Awards for each performance!
